A growing number of Americans say Donald Trump is “too old” to be president, according to a new poll.

This month, a near-majority of Americans — 49% — say Trump, 79, is too old to lead the country, according to a YouGov poll conducted between Sept. 2 and Sept. 4.

That’s a 15 percentage-point increase from the 34% who said they believed Trump is too old in February. The number has been climbing throughout his second term.

Concerns about Trump’s health intensified in mid-July after cameras captured a bruise on the president’s hand, covered with a splotch of makeup.
