The results of all Edinburgh and Lothians state-funded primary school inspections carried out, since the pandemic , have been revealed.

Inspections were cancelled when the UK went into lockdown during the first wave of Covid in 2020, and didn't resume in Scotland until September 2022. Since then, 542 inspections have been carried out.

There are 1,978 state primary schools in the country, reports the Scottish Daily Express .

Inspectors from the Education Scotland quango grade schools using a system of scores from 1-6, with 1 being unsatisfactory; 2 being weak; 3 being satisfactory; 4 being good; 5 being very good; and 6 being excellent.
