A suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk has been arrested and identified after a dayslong manhunt that ended with a family member turning him in, officials said.

Tyler Robinson, 22, from Utah, was accused of killing Kirk during a live event at Utah Valley University this week, multiple senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter told NBC News.

Two officials also confirmed the suspected shooter was turned in by a family member who saw photos released Thursday by the FBI . The family member confronted the suspect, then turned him into police, officials said.
