The Show-Me state has given state legislators enough chances. Legislators have repeatedly shown us that they don't respect majority rule and the outcome of referendums. Missouri is one of only 11 states without a law reigning in legislative power to overturn our votes. I'm tired of politicians' abuse of that power.
Paid sick leave for workers was approved by 57% of voters last November, yet politicians overturned our vote. Similarly, the women's access to health care initiative won 52% of the vote, but politicians are putting it back on the ballot in 2026 with misleading language that they hope will trick voters into voting against their original intent.
