The suspect arrested in relation to conservative activist Charlie Kirk 's assassination has been identified as Tyler Robinson , 22, of Utah, five law enforcement sources confirmed to NBC News Friday (September 12) morning.

The Daily Mail and New York Post also reported that the suspect was identified as Robinson Friday morning. The reported confirmation came shortly after President Donald Trump 's announcement that the shooter was "in custody" Friday during an appearance on FOX & Friends , though not providing specific details on the suspect.
