Hershey's voluntarily recalled a small number of one of its ice cream varieties recently, with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) now classifying the recall as a Class II risk.
The recalled product is Hershey's Ice Cream Green Mint Chip, which comes in a 3-gallon bulk container, sold as one unit, packaged in a cardboard tub with metal rings and a cardboard lid. In total, 81 cans have been recalled due to "elevated coliform counts during routine testing," according to a notice posted on the FDA's website.
