Cinefest’s first gala film – Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie – which runs Saturday at Cinefest Sudbury, is already a big hit with the critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie is so affable, so good-natured, so modest — just so gosh-darned charming — that it’s difficult not to crack at least a little bit of a smile while watching it,” wrote Katie Rife of the AV Club, who is considered a top Rotten Tomatoes critic.
“Hilarious as the movie can be, there’s an even more amusing meta level on which we laugh at how insane it is that it exists at all, marveling how they pulled it off,” noted Peter Debruge of Variety, another top critic.
