Ivan McLelland came to fame stopping pucks as a celebrated member of the 1955 World Champion Penticton Vees. Much of what he’s done since ending his hockey career almost 70 years ago is giving back to the community he loves... and with all his heart.
At age 94, McLelland is still giving back to the community as he recently donated several more pieces from his personal sports memorabilia collection to The Village at the Station.
His latest donation includes a large framed action photograph of himself in the gold-medal game in Germany against the Russians, which the Vees won 5-0 to capture the world championship.
