A Tesco employee has expressed their frustration and asked "why", following a recent encounter with a customer. The UK supermarket giant employs hundreds of thousands of people across the country, with thousands of stores nationwide.

In a recent Reddit post, one staff member shared their annoyance after an incident involving a customer and a closed till. The Tesco worker wrote: "Customer started loading shopping after I closed my till. Why are they like this? Gate closed, sign on the end saying 'checkout is closing'."

The employee went on to say that they had locked the till and signed off, before adding: "As I'm walking back to make sure it's all locked up a man has picked up the sign, looked at it, threw it to one side and started unpacking his shopping, and then forced the gate open
