A man claims he was denied a refund for a rental car he couldn't collect after arriving 15 minutes late "due to his disability".

Martin Duff, 56, was relocating to Southport from Ireland and had booked a hire car from Drivalia at Liverpool John Lennon Airport for his return to Merseyside on June 28, at a cost of £74.35.

Although his flight arrived punctually, his disability meant he was among the final passengers to leave the Ryanair aircraft.

Typically, passengers with disabilities board initially and disembark last, which ensures their safety and guarantees assistance is available for their requirements and mobility aids, according to airline regulations.
