CHEROKEE, Iowa (KCAU) — A minor was taken to the hospital on Thursday after being hit by a car in Cherokee.

According to the Cherokee Police Department, the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 59 and Bluff Street. The crash involved a car and a moped.

Police said that the driver of the car, identified as Stephanie Hill, was cited for failing to yield while turning left.
