Roblox is facing another legal battle over its child safety regulations, this one a wrongful death lawsuit tied to the April 2024 suicide of a 15-year-old boy.

The lawsuit, according to the New York Times , is being filed in Superior Court by Becca Dallas following the death of her son Ethan Dallas, and is “likely the first of its kind” leveled against the gaming platform, which is currently facing multiple lawsuits filled with accusations of predatory behavior on the child-centric website.

According to the Times, after Ethan Dallas’ suicide, his mother learned from Florida law enforcement that her son had likely been communicating with a 37-year-old man named Timothy O’Connor on Roblox, who went by “Nate,” for years.
