YORK — Shavane Anderson Jr. said announcing his commitment to Syracuse took an immense weight off his shoulders. Unfortunately for Northeastern, it fell on the Bobcats like a two-ton anvil.
Anderson Jr. — a 6-foot, 195-pound three-star running back — led the charge for York High in a 91-0 hammering of Northeastern at Smalls Field on Thursday. The game opened YAIAA Division I play, the Bearcats (2-2, 1-0) kicking off their league slate with no holds barred.
