BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The life of Allie Rice, an LSU student whose murder remains unsolved, will be honored on the third anniversary of her death.
The Live Like Allie Foundation will host a balloon release at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the Inspiration Center at Howell Community Park.
A giveback is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Walk-On's restaurant in Prairieville. Donations will fund scholarships and community safety initiatives. People who dine in are asked to wear yellow in Rice's honor.
Rice was 21 years old when she was found shot to death in her car in the 1500 block of Government Street on Sept. 16, 2022. Police said she was shot multiple times.
