EARLY. Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A guest speaker is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a heart attack at an Early ISD pep rally Friday morning.

The incident happened while the guest speaker, who has not been publicly identified, was in front of students, staff, and parents at the pep rally September 12.

Early ISD says that, "thanks to the immediate actions of our coaches, nurse, trainer, and even a couple of our football players, CPR and the AED were administered quickly. Their quick response made a real difference."

This guest was alert and reportedly "doing well" after the heart attack and school officials say he is expected to recover.
