Football In The Groin: Referee Takes A Missile From Quarterback Directly To His Junk During Painful Moment At Wake Forest

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons dreamed of starting their season with a 3-0 record, but they had to get through NC State to achieve that goal.

Quarterback Robby Ashford certainly came to play.

Ashford, a Hoover native and former Auburn player, accumulated a lot of yards in the contest, but one particular throw stole the show for the night.

During the game, the Wake Forest quarterback tried his best to rifle a pass to a wide receiver who was heavily covered. It appears as if the football would’ve made it to its mark, but unfortunately for the Deacons, a referee was standing in the way.

Ashford tossed a missile right to the groin of the ref, who took the shot like a professional.
