A New Jersey-based actor who played minor roles in several Hollywood films is accused of shooting a woman in the face near Stockton University, leading to a lockdown at the school that lasted for a few hours on Thursday.

Ernest Heinz, 46, of Port Republic, New Jersey, was arrested and charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a firearm, and other related offenses.

The incident unfolded shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, outside the entrance of Stockton University on W. Jimmie Leeds Road in Galloway Township, New Jersey.
