Residents can have their say now on a plan for 4,500 homes alongside a new M1 motorway junction and logistics park, in Leicestershire . Whetstone Pastures Garden Village is proposed for an area next to the motorway in Blaby district.
A consultation on the 937-acre development - roughly the size of 531 full-size football pitches - was launched this week. A mix of housing types and sizes is suggested for the village , including "dementia-friendly" designs and 'affordable' homes, according to planning documents.
