When Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart first got together in the early aughts, some fans were surprised by the match. After all, there were a couple of decades between the veteran film actor and the then-prime time star.

But that didn’t matter to them.

“It doesn’t faze me,” Flockhart told Hello! Magazine in 2003 . “Sometimes I even say, ‘Wow, I keep forgetting that he’s 22 years older than me.’ It doesn’t factor into our relationship at all.”

Ford joined her for that same interview and commented, “Romantic love is one of the most exciting and fulfilling kinds of love, and I think there is a potential for it at any stage of your life.”

Years later, during a 2025 appearance on NPR’s “ Wild Card with Rachel Martin,” the 83-year-old actor spoke about what the relationship taught him.
