A Boston man has been arrested following a shooting that left one person hurt in Danvers, Massachusetts, on Thursday afternoon.

One person was taken to Beverly Hospital after the shooting on Bay Drive around 2:45 p.m., according to Danvers police. That person, who has not been publicly identified, was later transferred to a Boston hospital for further treatment. Their condition as of Friday was not clear.

Juan Salas, 23, was arrested after the shooting on multiple assault charges. He was arraigned Friday morning in Salem District Court and held pending a dangerousness hearing, which is scheduled for next week.

Investigators said it was an isolated situation with no threat to the public.
