JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) - As we approach the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene, many communities are still working to recover financially.
East Tennessee State University is hosting a forum called 'Hope After Helene: Financing Disaster Recovery.'
The event will offer discussions from local leaders, financial experts and disaster relief organizations on solutions to prepare communities in their financial recovery from Helene and how to prepare for the future.
It's happening at the ETSU Martin Center on Friday, Sept. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
It is free to attend, but you need to register beforehand. You can do that here.
