KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Schulz Bräu Brewing announced its tenth annual Oktoberfest celebration Friday.

From Sept. 20 through Oct. 12, Schulz Bräu’s German castle and Biergarten will transform into a celebration of German culture, tradition and beer. Guests of all ages and pets are invited to experience an Oktoberfest without leaving Knoxville.

The festival kicks off just like in Munich, with a ceremonial barrel tapping at noon, which means the festival starts at 6 a.m. in Knoxville. Early risers and ticket holders can experience live music and a traditional Bavarian breakfast to mark the occasion. Following the ceremony, the brewery will open to the public at 9 a.m.
