Officers said they were called to Roosevelt Avenue and Nichol Street around 12:15 a.m. Friday about a man who had been shot in a parking lot.

Officers said the man died at a hospital after the shooting.

According to police, they arrested Daniel Alexander Brown and charged him with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Greenville County Detention Center

Police said the U.S. Marshals Task Force assisted with the arrest.
