MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is set to speak with U.S. President Donald Trump about a "strategic mission" following the announcement of a planned National Guard deployment to Memphis.

The president broke the news of the deployment to Memphis on Friday, saying he had the support of the mayor and the Tennessee governor.

Lee said a strategic plan will include local law enforcement working together along with the FBI. He will speak with Trump to work out details on Friday afternoon.
