SEDALIA, Mo - A Sedalia man was arrested late Wednesday night following a traffic stop for multiple traffic violations in Pettis County.
According to a probable cause statement 28-year-old Rishaud Staten was initially stopped by a Pettis County Deputy and began approaching the deputy yelling profanities. He was immediately placed in handcuffs for failing to comply with the traffic stop.
Staten showed signs of being drunk. He refused to take a field sobriety test and a blood test was applied for after Staten was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
As Staten was being transported it was found that he had dropped a clear plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance on the floorboard of the patrol vehicle. The substance weighed approximately two ounces and tested positive for both co
