For a game all about feeling like you have a choice but actually not having one, Netflix sure is having issues finishing the script of the BioShock movie. Like…just follow the plot of the game, right? But alas. The film adaptation of the groundbreaking 2007 dystopian sci-fi game has been in development and pre-production for years. Director Francis Lawrence came on board in 2022 and various screenwriters and hiccups have kept it from happening. We also recently learned the production budget for the movie has been reduced . But rest assured, the movie is still “definitely” based on the first game.
