BLAIR, Neb. (WOWT) - Washington County Sheriff Mike Robinson has been receiving numerous threats in the aftermath of the arrest of the man suspected of killing Charlie Kirk on Wednesday.

Friday morning, U.S. and Utah officials announced the arrest of Tyler Robinson , 22, as the primary suspect in Kirk’s murder — but the man is not related in any way to the local sheriff, WCSO clarified in a Facebook post the sheriff’s official page.

Adding to the confusion is the fact that the suspect was turned in to the sheriff’s office in Washington County, Utah.

The Sheriff’s Office in Nebraska said in its social media post that those making threats against Sheriff Robinson or anyone in his family will face serious legal consquences:
