WESTVILLE, Ind. (WNDU) - A teacher with the MSD of New Durham Township is no longer employed by the district after coming under fire for a social media post about the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Superintendent Brian Ton tells WNDU 16 News Now the former employee was initially placed on administrative leave after he was notified of the post.

But in a letter sent to families on Friday, the district says “the teacher in question is no longer employed” after investigating the matter.
