You’d never guess how many snakes were found soon after South Dakota man was bitten

A Sioux Falls man has been hospitalized after he was bitten by one of the three venomous snakes he kept as pets in his apartment.

During a Sioux Falls Police Department briefing, Patty Beckman with Sioux Falls Animal Control said officers responded to a call Sunday at an apartment complex near 85th Street and Minnesota.

Once there, authorities discovered two African Forest Cobras free from their protective containers and a contained Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake.

The cobras were seemingly in plastic totes. The man was bitten after the snakes were knocked over and the victim stepped on one of the reptiles, per Kelo .

He was then rushed to a hospital. Unfortunately, Beckman had no update on the man’s condition.
