BOARDMAN Police in Boardman say a woman lost more than $1,500 in an alleged anti-aging cream scam.

According to a police report, the woman was shopping at the Southern Park Mall on September 2, when she was approached by a saleswoman asking if she was interested in purchasing a subscription for an anti-aging cream product.

Police say the woman was interested in the subscription and handed the saleswoman her debit card. However, she changed her mind when she heard the subscription would be $100 per month.

When the woman got home, she got a notification from her bank asking her to verify if she had made a purchase for $1,503.91. Police say the woman replied no, but the charge still went through.
