MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 28-year-old man was shot Thursday night in Madera, according to the Madera Police Department.

The man was found around 10 p.m., after officers responded to the 700 block of N. Granada Dr., for a report of assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say when officers arrived on the scene, they found the man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his arm while sitting in a vehicle.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
