MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Temperatures may still feel closer to patio season than a winter wonderland, but Milwaukee officials are already thinking ahead to the holidays.

The Department of Public Works has launched its search for the 112th City Christmas Tree, which will stand this winter outside Fiserv Forum in the Deer District.

The chosen evergreen should be at least 30 feet tall, strong in shape and color and ready to remind passersby, as the carol goes, "how lovely are thy branches." City foresters note the tree must be located within Milwaukee and free of overhead wires so it can be safely lifted by crane.

After harvest, the tree will make its way downtown by police escort. Once installed, it will be dressed for the season with help from Milwaukee style expert David
