Teams committing fewer turnovers than their opponents won 80 percent of the time in the first two weeks of the college football season.

Tulane coach Jon Sumrall drove that point home in a meeting with his players on Thursday as the Green Wave (2-0) prepared for Saturday night’s big matchup with Duke (1-1) and Darian Mensah at Yulman Stadium (7 p.m. ESPN2).

Never mind the Mensah factor , with fans expected to boo the talented transfer quarterback early and often after he left for Duke and a reported massive NIL deal last December.
