SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is seeking parental input on the policies for student cell phones during the school day.
Today, September 12, 2025, an email went out to parents in the school system asking for parents to fill out a survey relating to the new HB 340 law.
The HB 340 law requires school districts to establish clear policies for the use and storage of student personal electronic devices (including cell phones) during the instructional day.
According to the email, the law was created to promote safe and productive learning environments while reducing disruptions and distractions in schools.
