Jackson Police Department’s Neighborhood Enhancement Team (NET) has arrested a 37-year-old man after he was allegedly caught illegally dumping furniture.
On Friday, September 12, NET detectives took Thaddaus D. Johnson into custody on a charge of Illegal Dumping. The arrest followed an investigation that began when surveillance footage captured a white pickup truck pulling a U-Haul trailer discarding a recliner in the 9600 block of McRaven Road.
Detectives traced the trailer back to Johnson, leading to his arrest.
Authorities say the case is part of an ongoing effort by the NET to crack down on illegal dumping in the city and to hold offenders accountable for littering and blight.
