An 18-year-old from Cape Cod is being held on charges that he threatened to commit a school shooting in Massachusetts.

Ian Frotheringham of Falmouth faces a charge of threatened use of a deadly weapon in a public building, Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois and Falmouth police Chief Jeff Lourie announced on Friday. Latest Forecast

According to Galibois and Lourie, the Falmouth Police Department first received a tip about Frotheringham in August.
