Nicole Shanks was last seen in Stittsville early on Sept. 2, police said Friday.

The Ottawa Police Service is calling for public assistance in locating a 36-year-old woman.

Nicole Shanks was last seen on Stittsville Main Street at about 7 a.m. on Sept. 2, a news release Friday said, adding that she could be in the area of Ladysmith, Que., and that she was known to travel by soliciting rides from passing vehicles. Article content Article content

The Sept. 12 release also described Shanks as a White woman standing five feet seven inches tall and having light brown or blonde hair and blue eyes.
