FOREST GROVE, Ore. (KPTV) - A teacher in Forest Grove, who is also a city council member for Cornelius, has been placed on leave after posting controversial remarks to social media after the death of Charlie Kirk .

On Thursday, the Forest Grove School District says it was made aware of “inflammatory comments” made by John Colgan, teacher at Neil Armstrong Middle School. The comments were posted on Colgan’s private social media account.

Screenshots of the post were sent to FOX 12. The post said:

“Hearing that Charlie Kirk got shot and died really brightened up my day. Nobody deserves it, but some are asking for it.

Edit: For anyone else that wants to creep my wall and tell me how upsetting this is, Charlie was a f****** ghoul who got on tv after every school shooting and mass shooting
