WASHINGTON — About 110,000 Paris Hilton-branded mini beauty fridges are being recalled after reports of overheating and fires, federal safety officials this week.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recalled fridges' electrical switches can short circuit and overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. The agency has received 27 reports of the mini fridges overheating and catching fire, though no injuries have been reported. Property damage has included damage to the units and surrounding surfaces.
The recall involves 4-liter and 10-liter Paris Hilton Mini Beauty Fridges sold in pink, white, aqua and hot pink colors.
Only units manufactured before August 2024 with specific serial numbers are affected and customers whose products do not match the affected serial numbers should not
