KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - On Thursday, the Knott County Emergency Management team announced a new tool that is aimed to help first responders during catastrophic events.

The Emergency Management team went live on Facebook to announce the Emergency Priority Assistance Registration Form.

Knott County Emergency Management Director James Sandlin said the new tool will help DURING events such as the July 2022 flood.

“It’s for an event like ’22 when the power went off, the TV went out, the radios went out, where there was no communication whatsoever available,” Sandlin said.
