CLAYTON — A second person on Friday was sentenced to prison for following a teenager off a MetroLink train in July 2023, fatally shooting him and robbing him of his cell phone and gun in Pagedale.

Steven Marion, 34, wore tan prison clothes and was shackled as he briefly spoke in court about the crime while several of his family members looked on.

"I apologize for my actions," he said.

Police said Johnson in July 2023 met up with some people in downtown St. Louis just before he was found dead around 1 a.m. in the 7000 block of St. Charles Rock Road in Pagedale.

The four people charged in the case are accused of following Johnson off a MetroLink train and shooting him. His pockets were “turned inside out” and some of his belongings were stolen, according to charging documents.
