Fair judges get a taste of contestants' entries

Outside the Null Building at the Frederick Fairgrounds, food vendors and other workers made their final preparations Friday morning, getting ready for the first day of The Great Frederick Fair.

But inside, the Fair was already underway, with teams of judges hard at work judging row after row of cookies, cakes, pies, and other baked goods that had been submitted by hopeful contestants.
