A Washington City man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder and other charges in connection with the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a political event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed Friday.
Tyler James Robinson, 22, of Washington, was arrested at 4 a.m. and charged with aggravated murder, a first-degree felony; felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, a first-degree felony; and obstruction of justice involving capital or first-degree felony conduct, according to the affidavit signed by Brian Davis, an officer with the Utah Attorney General’s Office.
