ORCHARD PARK - The most important player on the Buffalo Bills defense during last Sunday’s victory over the Baltimore Ravens will not play Sunday afternoon against the New York Jets.
Defensive tackle Ed Oliver was ruled out Friday morning by coach Sean McDermott and that’s obviously a big blow heading into a game against an AFC East rival.
“Ed will be out this game,” McDermott said. “He got stepped on in practice Wednesday unfortunately and it’s just kind of a thing that happens from time to time in practice, a friendly fire kind of thing. We'll see where it goes for next week but for this game he’ll be out. But it’s an opportunity for someone else to step up and show us what they’ve got.”
