Dionne, Jr. The Tiverton girls’ tennis team is off to a 3-0 start after winning the D-3 crown last season, losing two of four singles players and having to re-tool their lineup. “I'm fully expecting that we’ll have a good year. We have a pretty strong team,” said head coach Jess Cullinan. Coach Cullinan moved junior Brook Sowa from third to first singles and the competitive three sport athlete has been up for the challenge. “We’ve all improved this season and we’re doing really well,” said Sowa, after beating Juliana Pinto in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3 during the Tigers 5-2 home victory over PCD/St. Ray’s Co-op on Wednesday afternoon.
