Kentucky State Police troopers will honor Trooper Cameron Ponder Saturday on the tenth anniversary of his death.
Troopers will lay a wreath and conduct a memorial service near the 49-mile marker on Interstate 24 in Lyon County on Saturday at 9:54 a.m. A flagpole has since been erected at the site.
Trooper Ponder was fatally shot at the roadside location on September 13, 2015, while conducting a routine traffic stop.
The public is invited to the ceremony to pay their respects.
