MERIDIAN, Idaho — The City of Meridian has announced a new public art initiative designed to transform ordinary infrastructure into vibrant community landmarks while promoting fire safety awareness.
The "Water Colors" fire hydrant art contest, a collaborative effort between the City of Meridian, Meridian Fire Department and Meridian Firefighters Local 2311, invites people to submit artistic proposals for decorating a fire hydrant at Station 8.
