ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Chemung County Habitat for Humanity hosted its Cities RISE neighborhood clean up this morning enlisting the help of local volunteers and school students to complete yard work, repairs, and general beautification projects.

This Cities RISE cleanup focused on several projects on East Center and Diven Streets in Elmira. Volunteers of all ages did their part to help out residents with painting, yardwork, and small repairs.

"It got me excited because I like helping people and just making places cleaner for them to live. It just makes me happy inside," said Avery McCauley, one of dozens of Broadway Academy students on site today.
