OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A big celebration is being held in North Downtown as the Omaha Camera Club reaches its 100th anniversary.
The club held its first meeting in 1925 at the South Omaha Library, and both the club and technology have come a long way since.
Trish Place started her career in photography wanting to take pictures of a very high-profile group of people.
“I wanted to be a rock ‘n’ roll photographer,” she said with a laugh.
Now she has changed her focus to the pictures she takes.
“Landscapes, historical buildings. I have three grandkids so of course there’s that,” she said.
Trish has been a member of the Omaha Camera Club for about 15 years. This year, the members celebrate the club’s 100th anniversary.
