A mural at one of Victoria’s most scenic walks is getting restored, after sustaining damage in the last year.
The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority shared on Facebook that Jesse Campbell is leading the restoration project of the mural at the Ogden Point Breakwater, and he is joined by trainees Calvin George (Songhees Nation) and Savannah Thomas (xʷsepsəm Nation).
GVHA says damage to the mural was caused by “the weather and sea over the years.”
The mural, called the Na’Tsa’Maht Unity Wall, was first added to the breakwater in 2009 as a way to honour the traditions of the Salish Nations.
